Membership

Memberships are open to American Impressionist artists who are United States residents. Supporting memberships are open to any US resident who would like to support our mission of promoting the genre of American Impressionism. Benefits of membership include:
  • Eligibility to enter the annual AIS National Juried Exhibition and the AIS Impressions Small Works Showcase (additional entry fee applies for each show)
  • Paint-out, demo and educational seminars during the week of the National Juried Exhibition and the AIS Impressions Small Works Showcase with the opportunity to network with artists from across the US (most at no additional cost)
  • Discounted tuition on AIS sponsored workshops
  • Monthly E-Newsletter
  • Receive full color catalog from the Annual National Juried Exhibition 
  • Facebook group open exclusively to AIS members.
  • Members may post images of their work and network through the AIS Facebook group
  • Member Profile on the AIS Member Directory on the AIS website
  • "Members Only" Forum through the AIS website
Membership Dues are $60 Annually for the period  January through December. 

AIS is a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation. Contributions to AIS are tax deductible.

Associate Members

  • Open to all levels.
  • AIS Associate Members in good standing may enter the AIS National Juried Exhibition and AIS Impressions Small Works Showcase (additional entry fee required).


Signature Members

Associate Members who have completed three consecutive years as an AIS Associate Member and have been accepted into three AIS National Juried Exhibitions may apply for Signature status when renewing membership.

AIS Signature Members in good standing may:

  • Enter AIS National Exhibition and AIS Impressions Small Works Showcase 
    (additional entry fee required)
  • Sign "AIS" after their name

Master Artist 

Master Artist members are invited by the AIS Board of Directors and may use the initials "AISM" after their name.

Masters are selected carefully and are nationally known and considered to be leaders in the art community. They epitomize the highest level of impressionism and passionately give back to the society by sharing their knowledge.
